Incas developed a spectacular set of trails through their empire; one
of them is called “Inca trail” leading to Machu Picchu. People,
who want to do adventure tourism, can choose one of the following three
alternatives depending on time availability and fitness level.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
When to make a trek booking:
The
government has strictly limited the number of people permitted on the
Inca Trail during 2007 .We recommend you to make your reservation as
much in advance as possible to make sure you will find spaces on the desired
departure date Reservation should be made at least 3 months in advance
to avoid complications. (You must decide if you want to hire the services
of a personal porter in advance when making your trek reservation since
we need to purchase the porter's trekking permit).
Please to have in consideration the following information: pre-payment
of 50 % per person for booking the Inca trail is non refundable. The money
is used to reserve the space for the Inca trail in the governmental institution
in charge of regulating the entry to the Inca trail. As soon as we have
made a reservation, we cannot change any detail of the reservation, much
less replace another trekkers in your place if you have to cancel.Please
check that your passport is valid. The governmental institution in charge
of regulating the entrance to the Inca trail has the right to prevent
the entry of those persons whose information of passport does not agree
with the information used to obtain the official permit, It is very important
that students show their current international student card ISIC bellow
26 years old and minors show proof of age, In order to adjust to the altitude
prior to the trek, please plan to arrive in Cusco at least 3 days prior
to departure.
